Once in awhile I'll see a photograph of an interior that I just can't get out of my head - navy blue lacquer walls in a library or chevron tile in an entryway are a few recent ones I can't stop thinking about. This photograph of a home by Carolyn Roehm came across my screen a few weeks ago and took my breath away. It reminded me of the rooms in the
Museum Carnavalet in Paris - European and gilded, but livable perfection. I also discovered that finding a vintage French wall clock is easier said than done. Here are some of my favorites.

That one costs $25K?? WOW. No wonder you wrote "easier said than done." I love those these though (duh, they're French! :). I'll have to add that museum to my must-see list for my next trip to Paris in March! I'll take gilded and opulent any day ;)
