Here's to 2012! Happy New Year!

As we say goodbye to 2011 and look forward to 2012 with anticipation and excitement about what lies ahead in the new year, I wanted to thank each and everyone one of you for your readership, your comments, suggestions and positive encouragement since I embarked on this new creative undertaking.  It has been such a wonderful gift to be able to share my ideas and inspiration with you all and I look forward to continuing the conversation in 2012!  Before I sign-off until the New Year, I thought I would share some of my goals for 2012 with the hopes that you will take a few minutes to consider your own:

Things I'd like to do in 2012:

Wear SPF everyday and report back to my concerned colleagues who lectured me about this last month.
*
Reinstate an annual girls trip to Palm Springs that my best girlfriends and I use to do once a year.  Weddings, babies, work and life have prevented us from getting together the last couple years, but I'm making a rezzy for 2012!
*
Prove that the renewal of my New Yorker subscription was not a waste of money. After a 2 year lapse (since I had my daughter), I've re-upped and received my first issue yesterday.
*
Visit the Brimfield Antique Show for the first time with my mom and sister (who most recently went with Peter Dunham!)
*
Take some self-imposed breaks from my iphone (which is even harder since I discovered the world of twitter), especially on the weekends.  There is nothing I need to read about on gmail, twitter or facebook that can't wait a few hours!
*
Connect with other bloggers in the Los Angeles area and try to help start our own quarterly meet-up.
*
Put a few weekend getaways on the calendar for my husband and I.  There probably won't be any trips abroad this year, but I'd like to take a long, slow drive up Highway 1 and just meander.
*
Finish the many home projects I've started. Specifically turning our study into a playroom and redoing several bathrooms with fabulous wallpaper (which I'm currently on the hunt for).
*
Finally host a house-warming party (I'm 2 years in, but we still refer to it as our "new" house to explain why there are so many unfinished projects to tackle) in the fall or winter.
*
Continue to grow in this wonderful blogging adventure and make this blog better with new regular features and loads of creative and inspiring ideas and sources!
*

A special thank you to Theresa over at Inspiration Cooperative for inspiring me to think about my goals for 2012 and encouraging me to share them. Have a happy and safe New Year! Au revoir!

I love it! We share many of the same goals. Would love to start a quarterly LA meet up. We should get Teri (BeachCityLifestyle) in on this, as well. Fun!
All of these goals are going to make for some really great posts. Looking forward to seeing it all unfold right here in 2012.
Thank you for the shout out. I'm just happy we can be an inspiration to each other.
Have a GREAT New Years...See you next year.
PS~Don't forget to wear sunscreen on the back of your hands...;)

Love seeing everyone's goals today! I plan on posting my list a little later. And I'm totally for the L.A. Meetup. Let me know if I can help you out with that in any way!
